Joe Crosson, 70, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Lewis Greer

Lewis Greer, 64, of Malden, Mo., died today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the landess Funeral Home of Malden.

Effie Hankins

Effie Hankins, 95, of Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at the Gideon Care Center.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

William Henson

Rev. William E. Henson, 79, of New Madrid, Mo., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at his residence.

Born Aug. 4, 192, in Campbell, Mo., son of Jettie Lucy Sanford Henson Boyt, of Kennett and the late Jesse Howard Henson, he was a member of the New Madrid Baptist Church and former member of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.

On Dec. 4, 1940, he married Mary Naomi Bell, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include three sons, Jesse Marion Henson and wife, Francis, of Plainview, Ark., Elbert Clinton Henson, Jr., of Kennett and Rev. Gary Roger Henson and wife, Sandy, of New Madrid, Mo.; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Keathley and husband, Harold, of Smithville, Texas; one brother, Kenneth Henson and wife, Bonnie, of Kennett; six grandchildren, Terrie Hunt, Renee Humphrey, Monty Henson, Brian Keathley, Debbie Heiman and Gary Henson II and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, A.C. Henson.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Slatton officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb, Mo.

Honorary pallbearers are Carol Moore, C.M. Smith, Troy Rebstock, Bud Sweeney, Terry Weaver, Tommy Brannum, George Nelson and Kerry Noble.

Thelma Holmes

Thelma Holmes, 91, of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at her residence.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Senath Church of Christ with Rev. Greg Pollock officiating.

Burial will follow at the Senath Cemetery.

Faye Horton

Faye Horton, 63, of Wentzville, Mo., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital-West in Lake St. Louis, Mo.

Born April 17, 1938, in Senath, Mo., daughter of Alice Garter Whitehead, of Campbell and the late William E. Whitehead, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

On Dec. 25, 1955, in Gibson, Mo., she married Bobby Lee Horton, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one daughter, Robin Horton, of O'Fallon, Mo.; two sons, Randy Horton, of Florissant, Mo. and Richard Horton; three granchildren, Rachel Lenk and Rebecca and Ryan Horton; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Brady Lenk and a sister-in-law, Barbara Horton, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Don Whitehead and one son, Jeffery Horton. Visitation wil be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Morris and Lavern Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell. Billy Stone,veteran

Billy J. Stone, 70, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Monday Sept. 3, 2001, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Excelsior Springs.

Born Dec. 7, 1930, in Malden, son of the late James Henry and Mary Louisa VanTrease Stone, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea and he attended the Siloam Spring Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs.

On June 12, 1976, in Dexter, Mo., he married Bernice Johnson, who preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 1999.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Reynolds, of Excelsior Springs and Mary Elizabeth Daniels and Vesta Leona Porter, both of Pennsylvania; one son, Vernon Stone, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Lloyd Stone, of Malden; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Brant and William Ray Stone.

Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Porter officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.

Anna Young

Anna Marie Williams Young, 86, of Malden, Mo., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at the Malden Nursing Care Center.

Born Oct. 23, 1914, in Greenway, Ark., son of the late James Columbus and Mary Lula Wright Watson, she was a homemaker and a member of the New Home General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

She was first married to Delbert Williams and she later married Francis Young, both preceded her in dearth.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Watson and wife, Mary, of Arnold, Mo. and Jerry Williams of Statesboro, Ga.; two daughters, Shirley Rudisill, of Poplar Bluff and Donna Thornberry and husband, Oris, of Clarkton, Mo.; one step-son, Dallas Williams, of Lake Isabella, Calif. and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beatrice Owens; one step-son, Leo Williams; one step-grandchild and a number of brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will folow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
