Lydia Bost

Lydia Bost, 95, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Emery officiating.

Burial will follow at the Senath Cemetery in Senath, Mo.

Gettia Hagar

Gettia Hagar, 82, of Kennett, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Apostolic Church of Kennett with Rev. Zack Parr officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Ruth Holdren

Ruth Brown Holdren, 93, of Warrensburg, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Born Jan. 27, 1908, in Mountain Grove, Mo. daughter of the late Coral C. and Eugenia Isabelle Grimes Brown, she was a bank teller in Mountain Grove, she and her husband owned and operated two funeral homes, a furniture store, an appliance store and an insurance agency in Hartville, Mo. She also worked at the Mo. State Sanatorium. She was a member of the First Christian Church, a Gray Lady at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital, an honorary Rotarian in the Warrensburg Rotary Club and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star where she was Past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Holdren was also a member of the Arts, Books and Crafts Club, Johnson County and Wright County Historical Societies, Chapter HW of PEO, and a former member of the Missouri Funeral Director Association.

On July 18, 1931, in Mountain Grove, Mo., she married Gene E. Holdren, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1976.

Survivors include one son C.L. Holdren and wife, Suzanne, of Warrensburg; one daughter, Ruth Ann Moyer and husband, John, of Kennett; four grandchildren, Cynthia E. Simpson and husband, Steve and Clark B. Holdren, all of Kansas City, Mo., Richard J. Moyer, of Warrensburg and Claire A. Moyer, of Kennett and one great-granddaughter, Carolyn Elizabeth Simpson, of Kansas City.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Wallace Brown.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the First Christian Church in Warernsburg with Rev. Dale Matherly officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund or the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Roberrt Lee

Robert E. Lee, 70, of Malden, Mo., died today, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshw Funeral Home of Malden.

Beulah McHaney

Beulah McHaney, 96, of Kennett, died today, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at her residence.

Jean Olds

Jean Burchett Olds, 59, of Odessa, Fla., formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Rev. Gary Mayes officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.

Elnora Sharp

Elnora Lee Sharp, 67, of Kennett, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at her residence.

Born Feb. 26, 1934, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Larry C. Wilburn and Tillie Sexton.

Survivors include one son, Charles M. Sharp, of Kennett; two daughters, Larri Lynn Wolfgang, of Glen Carbon, Ill. and Tracy L. Sharp, of Kennett; one sister, Doris J. Krasnansky, of Portage, Ind.; one grandchild, Nicki Lynn Brink and one aunt, Charlene Wilburn, of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Lanning officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo. Pallbearers were Jim, Joseph and Michael Stokely, Steve Pu, Byrne Wood, Porter Smith and John Robison.

Honorary pallbearers were John Beaton, Paul Harkey and Randy Bradford.
