Maudie Bagby

Maudie Bagby, 85, of Maryland Heights, Mo., formerly of Arbyrd, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at the Brooke View Nursing Home in Maryland Heights.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Lulu Cemetery in Senath. Troy Carter

Troy Carter, 74, of Warrenton, Mo., formerly of Arbyrd, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Hollywood Church of Christ with Rick Douglas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lulu Cemetery in Senath, Mo. Dorothy Christos Dorothy Mae Christos, 91, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

Born April 24, 1910, in Hornersville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Emmett G. and Minnie Hayes Thomas.

Survivors include two daughters, Blondena Parker and Berneda Scott, both of Arbyrd; two brothers, R.J. Thomas, of Senath, Mo. and Dwight Thomas, of Sikeston, Mo.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Add Buck and Sam Christos; one son, Mayford Buck; three brothers, Journey, Dennis and Winfred Thomas and two sisters, Dora Clark and Delouris Layne.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Arbyrd with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.

Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.

Pallbearers were Darryl Goodman, Danny Camp, Vernon Williams, Mike Thomas and Randy and Sonny Ladd.

Janie Lucille Edwards, 81, of Dexter, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born May 10, 1920, in Murray, Ky., daughter of the late Atle and Illa Marine Charlton, she was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dexter.

In 1937, in Piggott, Ark., she married Tribble Elsworth Edwards, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include six sons, Gary Edwards, of Fisk, Mo., Dale and Jackie Edwards, both of Rockford, Ill., Jimmy and Micky Edwards, both of Broseley, Mo. and Benny Edwards, of Barkersfield, Calif.; two daughters, Sue Davis, of Pangburn, Ark. and Eva McNece, of Bernie, Mo.; one brother, Bill Charlton, of Nashville, Tenn.; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Connie Edwards; three grandsons, Tony McNece and Jack and Shane Edwards and three sisters, Nola Mae Brown, Olivia Tucker and Maudina McCain.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 12, at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Rainey Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Gregory Cemetery in Kennett. Catherine Shaw

Catherine Ann Shaw, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Dec. 5, 1916, in Tyler, Mo., daughter of the late William and Mattie Bell Russell Fitsmaurice, she attended the Sacred Heart School in Caruthersville and was a member of the Sacred heart Church.

On Feb. 2, 1941, she married Frank B. Shaw, who preceded her in death on Oct.28, 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Shaw, of Caruthersville, John Shaw, of Memphis and Russell Shaw, of Dublin, Va.; two daughters, Martha Shaw Greene, of Marion, Ark. and Betty Shaw Blurton, of Memphis; four sisters, Marguerite Bozeman, of Cottonwood Point, Mo., Martha Fitzmaurice, of Steele, Mo., Nell Weiford, of Idaho and Sally Houston, of Elaine, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Ben, Paul Michael and Brandon Shaw, Greg and Steven Blurton and Kyle Pullam. Orpah Wallace

Orpah Delene Wallace, 84, of Paragould, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Oct. 30, 1916, in Monette, Ark., daughter of the late John W. and Mary Shannon Crittendon, she was a homemaker and a member of the Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church.

She married John L. Wallace, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Freddie Wallace, of Kennett, Charles Wallace, of Norman, Okla. and Tommy Wallace, of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Mary McPherson, of Southaven, Miss., Terry Tedder, of Memphis, Tenn. and Carolyn Dowdy, of Paragould; one sister, Pearl Jessie, of Springfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Wallace; two grandchildren; two brothers, Bob and Woodrow Crittendon and two sisters, Elizabeth Gipson and Bertha Jackson.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 12, at the Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Heath Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Roger Armstrong and Everett Isom officiating.

Burial will follow at the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. Pallbearers are Tim and Chris Tedder, Michael, Eric and Johnny Wallace, Bob Pemberton, Steven McPherson, Darrell Wall and Dwight Williams.
