Amy Becking

Amy Nell Becking, 76, of Bernie, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 2, 1925, daughter of the late James Robert and Ora Mae Vineyard Kifer.

On June 19, 1948, at Piggott, Ark. she married Glendale Lee Becking, who survives of the home in Bernie.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Homer Kifer, Freeman Kifer, Dawsey Kifer and Earl Kifer; four sisters, Vera Kifer, Mabel Kifer, Pansey Walker and Pear Ott.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lana Becking of Bernie and Cindy Stewart of Marion, Ill.; two grandchildren, Coby Lee and wife Holly Ayers and Dustin Kane Neeley of Bernie; one great-granddaughter, Madisyn Ayers of Bernie; three sisters, Lucille Bates of Dexter, Goldie Hunt of Flint, Mich. and Helen "Toots" Thurston of Kennett.

Visitation will be held tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Rainey Chapel in Bernie with the Rev. Martin Goode of Malden officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

Joy Davidson

Joy L. Davidson, 67, formerly of Cardwell, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at Paris, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at Mc Daniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Cardwell Cemetery.

Charles Dover

Charles Jesse Lee Dover, 80, of Wappapello, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born May 15, 1921, at Campbell, son of the late Edward and Sara Estella Chumley dover, he was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He was married to Alberta Pennington Dover, who preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 1980.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Emery; one grandson, Danny Fincher; three brothers, Otis, Paul and Clem Dover.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Gramling and husband Bob of Wappapello; one son, Charles "Larry" Dover of Marble Hill; one sister, Mary Willard of Campbell; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell until time of services at 3 p.m. The Rev. Lee Roy Hefner will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Elder Cemetery in Campbell.

Gracie Mears

Gracie Mears, 88, of Paragould, Ark. and formerly of Rives, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

She was born Oct. 11, 1912, at Senath, daughter of the late Jim and Nellie Mobley.

She was married to David Mears, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1993.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Leo Johnson and Billy Johnson of Delaplaine, Ark.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 25, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating.

Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Gladys Norman

Gladys Norman, 87, formerly of Senath, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Lee's Summit Hospital.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath until time of services at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Senath Cemetery.

Michael Patterson

Michael James Patterson, 38, of Phoenix, Ariz. and formerly of Malden, died Tuesday, Nov. 20 at his residence in Phoenix.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at the Bradshaw Chapel with the Rev. Bruce White officiating

Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.

Ernie Woodall

Ernie Woodall, 55, of Clarkton died Monday, Nov. 26, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Dec. 15, 1945 in Frisbee, son of the Wanda Lee Howard Woodall of Clarkton and the late melvin Woodall, he was an auto mechanic, a Master Mason of the Clarkton Masonic Lodge No. 645 and of the Baptist faith.

On May 2, 1969, at Holcomb, he married Hazel June Hayes Woodall, who survives of the home in Clarkton.

Other survivors include a son, Ernie Woodall Jr. and wife Angel of Clarkton; three grandsons, Austin, Trever and Parker Woodall of Clarkton; a brother, Billy Woodall Sr. of Wardell and a sister, Wanda Carolyn Clarkston of Florissant.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden. Masonic Rites will be offered at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Landess Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
