Dora Acup

Dora Mae Acup, 86, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Oct. 13, 1915, in Halliday, Ark., daughter of the late Charley Marion and Lizza Pearl Steele Carrel, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Malden.

On Dec. 25, 1933, in Gideon, Mo., she married Charley Leroy Acup, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Acup; three brothers, Marion and Willie Carrel and an infant brother and three sisters, Rosie Kegley, and Edna and Gracie Carrel.

Survivors include one son, Freddie Acup, of Malden; four daughters, Frances McCoin, of Malden, Pearlie Williams, of Dexter, Mo., Shirley Moore, of Carrizo Springs, Texas and Rosemary Cowan, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Assembly of God Church in Malden with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

Doris Bearden

Doris Bearden, 79, of Senath, Mo., died today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at the Senath Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Senath Cemetery in Senath with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.

Esta Crites

Esta Lee Crites, 85, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Gary Mayes officiating. McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.

Cleo Cunningham

Cleo Coy Cunningham, 80, of Bourg, La., formerly of Kennett, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Terrebount General Medical Center in Houma, La.

Funeral services wil be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Kennett.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

David Ray Lemonds, 52, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman and Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sumach Cemetery.

Ellen Leslie

Ellen Elizabeth Leslie, 82, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at the Pemiscot Memorial Nursing Home in Hayti.

Born March 4, 1919, in Casa Ark., daughter of the late William Oscar and Addie Mae Outlaw Madison, she was a seamstress.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Leslie, of Byhalia, Miss.; one brother, Jack Madison, of Russellville, Ark.; one sister, Wanda Apple, of Dardanelle, Ark.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, George, J.B. and Buck Madison.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home in Hayti.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Mathis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Manley, Gerald Davis, Jim Madison, Steve Leslie, John Fisher and Joey Clowers.
