Corinne Dement Blankenship, 86, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Kennett, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Grace Manor in Orlando.
Born March 31, 1916, in Dunklin County, daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Ora Mae Loy Dement, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
She married Charles Avery Blankenship, who preceded her in death on March 9, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ola Fries.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Blankenship and two sisters, Eda Shepherd and Nell Dement, both of Savannah, Tenn.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Tom Kinsey, Larry French, Jack Lloyd and Glen Leach.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
Ruby Jo-An Adkins Pannells, 62, of Cardwell, Mo., died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the Arkansas Methodist Hosptial in Paragould, Ark.
Born Dec. 23, 1939, in Lake City, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Carrie Mae Adkins.
On June 5, 1956, she married Granville Wayne Pannells, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Adkins; one sister Geneva Smothers; one son, Terry Wayne Pannells and one grandchild, James David Caraway, Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Pannells, Tommy Pannells and Jesse Pannells, all of Cardwell; two daughters, Carrie Lisa Caraway, of Senath, Mo. and Sarah Pannells, of Cardwell; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sean Pannells, Bono, Michelle, Ashley and Zachary Caraway and Joshua, Jeremiah and Jessica Pannells and one sister, Iva Mae Arant, of Nellville, Texas.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 6, at the Cardwell Cemetery with David Powell officiating.
Pallbearers were Alfred Townsend, Mike Bennett, Rick Jones, Glenn McBride, Bobby Ganis and Danny Sessums.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
