Kenneth Lavelle Brown, 50, of La Grange, Ky., formerly of Hornersville, Mo., died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Tri-County Baptist Hospital in Kentucky.
Son of Sam L. and Syble Marie Brown, of Hornersville, he worked for Sears and was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam.
He married Deborah Linn Adams, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Joshua Brown; two daughters, Stacy and Sybil Brown; one brother, Keith Brown; three sisters, Carole Roussel, Ruth Ann Wilson and Karen Cole and one grandchild, Kesley Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, May 17, at the Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Ky.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville with the Revs. Doug Clinton and Mike Hargraves officiating.
Donations may be made to the Hornersville United Methodist Church.

James Clarence Stewart, 84, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born June 27, 1917, in Denton, Mo., son of the late Jim Berry and Pearl Oliver Stewart, he was a farmer.
He married Mary Louise Sanders, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Ferrell Joe Stewart, of Cooter, Mo. and Jim Stewart, of Steele; three daughters, Alice Watson and Becky Shuburte, both of Blytheville, Ark. and Marilyn Winchester, of Steele; a special friend, Sonya Allen, of Steele; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, May 17, at the Bradshaw Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Bradshaw Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
