William Edward LaForge, 67, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born March 6, 1935, in Caruthersville, son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Phillips LaForge, he attended Caruthersville schools. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include a son, Shawn LaForge and two daughters, Andrea LaForge and Marcia Clark, all of California; a brother, Charles LaForge of Ashland, Neb. and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville with Father Joe Campbell officiating
H.S. Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of the services.
Lucille Lowe, 76, of Smyrna, Tenn., died Friday, May 17, 2002, at the Peachtree Rehabilitation Center in Smyrna.
Born May 21, 1925, daughter of the late Jacob C. and Stella Spalding Ortwein, she was of the Catholic faith.
On Nov. 8, 1956, she married Tommy Lowe who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Dolly Peach and her husband, Les, of Henderson, Tenn.; a grandson, Clifton Lowe and two great-grandchildren, Bradley Edward Lowe and Breanna Elizabeth Lowe; three brothers-in-law, Joe Don Lowe of Bucyrus, Mo., Jerry Lowe of Dayton, Texas and Riley Lowe of Imperial, Mo.; two sisters-in-law Nelda Smith of Campbell, Mo. and Billy Fitzwater of Kennett, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cecilia Lowe; a son, Freddie Lowe and two sisters.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Ruth Edwards officiating.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.
