Floyd Foster

Floyd Foster, 95, of Pascola, Mo., died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his residence.

Born Jan. 4, 1907, in Olive Hill, Tenn., son of the late Frederick and Alice Stricklin Foster, he was a maintenance man with the Missouri Highway Department and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

On May 21, 1928, in Clifton, Tenn., he married Mable Price, who preceded him in death on May 25, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia; one grandson, Michael Floyd; one brother, Lloyd Foster and three sisters, Lola Conway, Mamie Gilmore and Bertha Hodge.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Burgett, of Pascola; one granddaughter, June Smith and husband, Andy, of Bragg City, Mo.; four great-granddaughters, Kristie Jo, Andrea, Jessica and Heather Smith; and one granddaughter-in-law, Pam Floyd, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo. with the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were H.L. and James Fields, Jim and Bennie Smith, Shirrel Floyd and Sidney Shull.

Mable Foster

Mable Foster, 90, of Pascola, Mo., died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Oct. 4, 1911, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late Thomas Harvey and Ara Elizabeth Harrison Price, she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

On May 21, 1928, in Clifton, Tenn., she married Floyd Foster.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Burgett, of Pascola; one granddaughter, June Smith and husband, Andy, of Bragg City; four great-granddaughters, Kristie Jo, Andrea, Jessica and Heather Smith; one brother, James Price, of Benton Harbor, Mich. and one granddaughter-in-law, Pam Floyd, of Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia; one grandson, Michael Floyd; three brothers, Harvey, Willie and Robert Earl Price and three sisters, Helen Tanner, Marie Byers and an infant sister.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were H.L. and James Fields, Jim and Bennie Smith, Shirrel Floyd and Sidney Shull.

Vaughn Hutton

Vaughn Theo Hutton, 77, of Hoxie, Ark., formerly, of Manila, Ark., died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his residence.

Born in Manila, son of the late William Joseph and Mary Jewell Hutton, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII and in the Normandy Invasion where he received a Purple Heart during the D-Day action in France. He was a farmer and a member of the Manila Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Loraine Rice Hutton, of the home; one brother, Billy Joe Hutton, of Kennett; three nephews, Vaughn Wright Hutton, of Marion, Ark., James Randolph Hutton, of Jonesboro, Ark. and William Mark Hutton, of Blytheville, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 30, at the Howard Funeral Home in Manila.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Piercy officiating.

Burial will follow at the Manila Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herman Davis American Legion Post of Manila.

George Miller

George Lewis Miller, 71, of Wardell, Mo., died today, Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home of Wardell.

Lettie Nichols

Lettie Mae Nichols, 95, of Kennett, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at South Haven, Mich.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
