Vernie 'Vern' Junior Berry, 74, of Robertsville, Mo., died Wednesday, May 29, 2002.
Born May 2, 1928, in Blue Cane, Ark., son of the late Thomas William Berry, formerly of Kennett and Ruth Myrtle Hogeland Berry, he was a member of the Cedar Hill Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, a carpenter, electrician and owned and operated his own hauling business.
On Feb. 7, 1976, he married Lynne Isabele Bridges, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Tommy Joe Berry and wife, Anita, of St. Clair, Mo. and Raymond Dale Berry and wife, Cheryl, of Robertsville; two daughters, Sharon Kay Williams, of Jonesboro, Ark. and Bonny Carol Fink and husband, Todd, of Robertsville; one step-son, Jack Ray Bridges, and wife Jeronda, of Park Hills, Mo.; four sisters, Mary Graham and husband, Bob, of Pacific, Mo., Louise Redden, of Festus, Mo., Willma Britton and husband, David, of St. Charles, Mo. and Rida Atchison, of St. Clair; eighteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Estelline Berry and Katie Parrish.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, May 31, at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Bro. Tony Zimbelmann officiating. Burial was in the Anaconda Cemetery at St. Clair.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Researach Hospital.
Bertha Hindmon, 85, of Kennett, formerly, of Rives, Mo., died today, Friday, May 31, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Geroge Lewis Miller, 74, of Wardell, Mo., died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in New Madrid, Mo.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Friday, May 31, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home in Wardell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Wardell Memorial Cemertery at Wardell.
Barbara Wheeler, 62, of Kennett, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center at Jonesboro, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
