Jenniev Blankenship

Jenniev Blankenship, 87, of Gobler, Mo., died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Arrangements are incomplete with McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett.

Bertha Hindmon

Bertha Hindmon, 85, of Kennett and formerly of Rives, Mo., died Friday, May 31 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Sunday, June 2, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, in the McDaniel Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Troy Allen officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Bertis King

Bertis Royal King, 84, of Bernie, Mo., died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at his residence.

Born Sept. 26, 1917, in Piggott, Ark., son of the late Walter and Alaska Stephens King, he was a farmer and member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Campbell, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On Nov. 28, 1936, in Campbell, he married Bertie Belle McElyea who preceded him in death July 23, 1988. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Deana Crow Garrett and a sister, Ruby Heskett.

Survivors include three daughters: Nonna Reed of Brundige, Ala., Shirley Crow of Dexter, Mo. and Carolyn Crews of Malden, Mo.; two sons: Jackie King of Bernie and Ronald King of Campbell; three brothers: Harold King and Cloyce King of Bernie and James King of Malden; three sisters: Ruth Acord of San Diego, Calif., Lucille Loafman of Malden and Rosemary Sellers of Caruthersville, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 2, in the Bethany General Baptist Church with the Revs. Bryan Johnson and Danny King officiating.

Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery at Campbell, under direction of Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

George Miller

George Lewis Miller, 74, Wardell, Mo. died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at New Madrid, Mo.

Born Monday, Aug. 22, 1927, in Wardell, Mo., son of the late George David and Della Mae Estes Miller, he was a farmer.

He married Genevieve Wright, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons: Jim Miller of San Antonio, Texas and Rick Miller of Wardell; a daughter: Elaine Olsen of Colorado Springs, Colo. and a brother: John Miller of Malden, Mo.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Bradshaw-Osborn Funeral Home in Wardell with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.

Burial was in Wardell Memorial Cemetery at Wardell.

Lettie Nichols

Lettie Mae Nichols, 95, of Kennett, died Monday, May 27, 2002, in South Haven, Mich.

Born March 22, 1907 in Durant, Miss., daughter of the late James H. and Susie Aldridge Shine, she was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married Roy Nichols, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 1, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers were Doug Atkins, Dave Atkins, Marty Fowler, Larry Privett, Ralph Lamkin and Phil Tinsman.

Sarah Skinner

Sarah Skinner, 88, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Visitation is 11 a.m. today, Sunday, June 2, at Bradshw-Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today in the Bradshaw-Osburn Chapel.

Burial will be at Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.

Barbara Wheeler

Barbara Wheeler, 62, of Kennett, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Sept. 19, 1939 at Senath, Mo., daughter of Nadine Pounds Parker of Kennett and the late Henry Parker, she was a member of Slicer Street Church of Christ. She was retired from Kennett National Bank and a member of Kennett Business and Professional women.

On March 30, 1963, she married Jeff Wheeler who survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter: Kim Wheeler of Memphis, Tenn.; and two brothers: Charles Parker and his wife, Phyllis, of Senath and Keith Parker and his wife, Debbie of Scottsboro, Ala.

Visitation was Saturday evening, June 1, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett.

Funeral services are 4 p.m. today, Sunday, June 2, at Slicer Street Church of Christ with Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers are Sherland Hamilton, Russ McCain, Roger Wheeler, Cecil Vavak, Mike Mowrer, William Mowrer, Reggie Cunningham and Bob Redman.

Honorary pallbearers are Don Jones, Fred McClure, employees and board of Kennett National Bank, employees of radio stations KOTC and KXOQ and members of Kennett Business and Professional Women's Club.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Slicer Street Church of Christ or Children's Home of Paragould, Ark.
