Sadie A. Chappell, 86, of Washington, Mo., formerly of Wardell, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at her residence.
Born July 15, 1916, in Big Lake, Ark., daughter of the late Fred and Lena Ezell Wyatt, she was a homemaker.
On May 28, 1935, in Bokerton, Mo., she married Turner Redman, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1964. She later married L.C. Chappell, on Nov. 10, 1991 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Redman and two brothers, Troy and T.R. Wyatt.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Redman, of Texas; three daughters, Martha Dilks, of Wright City, Mo., Rosa Keele, of Overland, Mo. and Phyllis Winland, of Wappapello, Mo.; two brothers, O.V. Wyatt, of Wappapello and Fred Wyatt, Jr., of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Aug. 30, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Wardell with Kenneth Keele officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Cemetery at Wardell.
Ida Ozella Johnson, 76, of Bernie, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Oct. 25, 1925, in Black Oak, Ark., daughter of the late Lonnie T. and Janie Vanhosser Hampton, she worked at Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the Northside General Baptist Church in Bernie.
In Feb. 1, 1947, in Weona, Ark., she married James A. Johnson, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Jim Johnson and wife, Rhonda, of Dexter; one brother, Ira Hampton, of Clarkton, Mo. and two granddaughters, Misty S. and Sarah Marie Johnson, both of Dexter.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 30, at the Rainey-Mathes Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. O.H. Brooks and Tim Ingles officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
Larry Jones, 61, of Cardwell, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd.
Patrick Tyler, 32, of Jacksonville, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at the Jacksonville Hospital.
He was the son of Gaylon and Betty Tyler, of Jacksonville and the nephew of Mary Kitchens, of Senath.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 30, at the Moore Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
