Shellie Bane

Shellie Bane, 69, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Lorene Dunaway

Lorene Dunaway, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at the Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Chatman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Rdige Cemetery in Kennett.

Elsie Holt

Elsie Ann Holt, 92, of Rector, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born March 2, 1910, in Ozark, Ark., daughter of the late G.W. and Sue Elizabeth Mcdade, she was of the Methodist faith and was active in the Rector Little League.

She married J.O. Holt, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry O. Holt.

Survivors include one niece, Margurette McHaney, of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.

Burial was in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

Pallbearers were Byron Underwood, Bill Vanlandingham, Dwight Vangilder, Danny Holifield, Dewey Shelton and Bill White.

Leroy Potts

Leroy Potts, 76, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at his residence.

Born Jan. 28, 1926, in Calhoun, Miss., he was the son of the late William Joseph Nathaniel Potts and Ester Vlela McKinney.

On Sept. 30, 1949, he married Frances Eloise Brigance, who survies of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Floyd and Eric Potts, both of Kennett; one daughter, Sharon Bliss, of Kennett; two brothers, Elbert and William"Bill" Potts, both of Kennett; three sisters, Lois Cagle, of West Memphis, Ark., Velma Starnes, of Mumsford, Tenn. and Helen Ramsey, of Kennett; six grandchildrren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Jordan officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Jeremy and Stanley Potts, Joe Jordan, Corky Davis, Guy Pratt and Louis Brigance.

Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Brigance, Bill and Elbert Potts and Darrell Starnes.
