Norman Campbell

Norman Lee Campbell, 46, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at Poplar Bluff.

Born June 7, 1956, in Dexter, Mo., son of Robert Lee Campbell, of Wappapello, Mo. and Eunice Marie Gregory Campbell, of Sikeston, Mo., he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW of Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew Campbell, of Memphis, Tenn. and Roman Lee Campbell, of Kennett; one daughter, Robin Campbell Martinez, of Irving, Texas; one grandson, Andrew Jacob Martinez, of Irving; two sisters, Frances Hays, of Sikeston and Sheila Hays, of Wappapello.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Marie Johnson.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo. with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Gregory Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Stephen Hayes, Larry Johnson, Stephen R. and Chris A. Polley, David Worley and Dennis W. Hayes.

Jimmy Nipper

Jimmy Nipper, 70, of Cardwell, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Pine Bluff, Ark.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd, Mo. is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Sullivan

Dorothy Edna Sullivan, 89, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born May 19, 1913, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of the late James and Ona Collins Carmody, she was a nurses aid, worked at the Delta Garment Factory and was a member of the Hayti First Baptist Church.

On May 2, 1938, in Sikeston, Mo., she married Paul Sullivan, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1972. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Dick and Buddy Campbell and one sister, Ona Mae Springsted.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Husband and husband, Earl, of Odessa, Texas, Dorothy Jane Wilbanks and husband, Richard, of Duncanville, Texas and Sharon Kay Mott and husband, Bobby, of Hayti; one brother, Charles Carmody, of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Imogene Lattig, of Rock Spring, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Kim Cain, of Crane, Texas, Jon Husband, of Odessa, Scott Wilbanks, of Arlington, Texas, Christi Davidson, of Waxahachie, Texas and Stephanie Quick, of Blytheville, Ark. and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Brian Quick, Scott Wilbanks, Patrick Davidson, Jon Husband, Bob Hicks and James Mott.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
