Ronnie Abmeyer

Ronnie Abmeyer, 59, of Kennett, died Thursday, Dec. 19 at Salt Lake City, Utah.

Visitation will be today, Sunday, Dec. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

C.Y. Borah

C.Y. George Borah, 87, died Monday, Dec. 16, at the Life Care Nursing Center in Tuscon, Ariz.

Born July 18, 1915 in Cardwell. Mo., he was the son of the late Francis Erbby and Millie Jane Bryant Borah.

On Jan. 30, 1941 in Senath, Mo. he married Alphia Louise, who preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2001.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Borah; two brothers, Lilburn and James Borah; one sister, Louis Ray; and one grandson, Tracy Borah.

Survivors include three sons, Lee Borah and wife, Barb, of Oak Ridge, Mo., Frank Borah and wife, Norine, and Mike Borah and wife, Kayleen, all of Richland, Mich.; two daughters, Terry Wellman and husband, Pete, and Lynn Breen and husband Bill, all of Tucson; one sister, Helen Homer of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Revs. Vernon Purser and Chuck Pipkins officiating. Burial was in the McGrew Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jamie Montgomery, Kent Montgomery, Joe Stanfill and David Kitchens.

Johnny Byrd

Johnny Mitchell Byrd, 87, of Kennett, died Thursday, Dec. 19 at Senath Nursing Center in Senath, Mo.

Born March 19, 1915 in Russellville, Ark., he was the son of the late W.J. "Will" and Fannie Belle Byrd. He was a retired shoe cobbler and a member of the Arbyrd Church of Christ.

He married Belle Hogland Byrd, who preceded him in death.

Graveside services were 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott, Ark. with C.O. Evans officiating.

Donald Goldsmith

Donald Goldsmith, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 19 at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born Dec. 19, 1932, in Campbell, Mo. he was the son of the late Charles Earl and Flora Ellen Emery Goldsmith. He was retired from Lyon Metal.

On Dec. 2, 1966 at Plano, Ill. he married Mima Louise Neeley, who preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 1998. On March 30, 1999, he married Ada Myers at Poplar Bluff, who survives of the home.

He was also survived by three sons, Donald Gene Goldsmith and wife, Judith, of Byron, Ill., Dee Jay Goldsmith of Miami, Fla. and Mike Goldsmith of Earlville, Ill.; two brothers, Gene Goldsmith and wife, Sarah, of Plano, and Floyd Goldsmith and wife, Lou, of Kansas; one sister, Marie Peterson and husband, Pete, of Campbell, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Robert Turney Goldsmith, Jeffrey Donald Goldsmith and Mark Williams Goldsmith, all of Byron.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Goldsmith; three brothers, Charles, Ronnie and Dale Goldsmith; three sisters, Dorothy Fletcher, Dolly Goldsmith and Katie Tune.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, Dec. 22, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with Rev. Lester Galbraith officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery -- Landess Addition at Campbell.

Carrie Harris

Carrie Harris, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born March 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Henry Olds and Annie Bell Ferguso Olds. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Harris and one brother, Henry Olds.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 19 at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating.

Burial was in Morgan Ridge Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.

Francis Kelly

Francis "Ninny" Kelly, 71, of Clarkton, Mo. died Friday, Dec. 20, a Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. today, Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon, Mo.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
