Helen Blackburn

Helen Blackburn, 78, of Puxico, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Clarkton, Mo., daughter of the late Huston and Lena Waltrip Champ, she was a retired cook and a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church in Clarkton.

On March 16, 1941, she married Robert Blackburn, who preceded her in death on June 13, 1973. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Blackburn.

Survivors include one son Winfred Blackburn, of Puxico and two grandsons, Brad Blackburn, of Puxico and Brian Blackburn, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.

Alfred Breedon

Alfred Breedon, 65, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Arnold Matthews

Arnold Matthews, 79, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden.

Pearly Prince

Pearly Prince, 90, formerly of Kennett, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Malcolm Snyder, Sr.

Malcolm P. "Pete" Snyder, Sr., 91, of Malden, Mo., formerly of Flint, Mich., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Jan. 27, 1912, in Big Rapids Township, Mich., son of the late Frank B. and Lillie Revor Snyder, he worked for the Fisher Body Automotive Plant and was of the Catholic faith.

On Jan. 27, 1936, in Flint, he married Della Loraina Burch, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Snyder; one brother, Adelbert Snyder and two sisters, Neva Robinson and Lillie Burkhart.

Survivors include one son, Malcolm P. "Mack" Snyder, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Malden; two daughters, Rae Clark, of Malden and JoAnn Dye, of Cut Bank, Mont.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Rosary services at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Father David Dohogne officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint.

Lola Willis

Lola Willis, 77, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Oct. 4, 1925, in Selmer, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ethel Cooper Barnes.

She married Russell D. Willis, who preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1980. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Rusty Willis, of Kennett; one brother, Joe Barnes, of Selmer; two sisters, Shirley Cheshire, of Jackson, Tenn. and Lessie Mae Baker, of Forth Worth, Texas and one grandson, John Daniel Willis, of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating. Burial was in the Falcon Cemetery at Selmer.

Maggie Wylie

Maggie Wylie, 93, of Bragg City, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
