Clifford Dean

Clifford Dean, 83, of Bernie, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born Sept. 27, 1919, in Pocahontas, Ark., son of the late Charles and Minnie Barnes Dean, he was a farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.

On March 1, 1974, in Bernie, he married Elsie Pearl Palmer, who preceded him in death on March 20, 1996. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Rasdon.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Dean and wife, Jean and Charles Dean and wife, Gloria, all of Bernie; one daughter, Cloria Vancil and husband, Don, of Bernie; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo. with the Rev. Leroy Young officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Marie Horton

Marie Horton, 82, of Stillman Valley, Mich., formerly of Rector, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at her residence.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

John Morris

John H. Morris, 78, of Monette, Ark., formerly of Senath, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Son of the late James Edward and Janie M. Morris, he was a U.S. Army veteran, and a mechanic. He attended Kennett Church of Christ and Monette First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Branum, of Kennett and Faye Owens, of Idabel, Okla.; five grandchildren, LaDon Gramling, Scott and Nick Branum, Candis Fiedler and Tracy Hefner and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Morris and one sister, Edna Mae Lightfoot.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Captain Lovel officiating.

Burial will follow at the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bill Craig, Gilberto Rojas, Bob, Andy and Stormy Peel and Dewey Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers are Bud Cannon, Sonny Wimberly, Charles Cato, Robert Flannigan, Bob Hout and W.T. Bibb.

Fred Osmer

Fred Osmer, 80, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Donna Poole

Donna Poole, 60, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don Slatton and Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
