Kathryn Davis

Kathryn Jean Davis, 43, of Tulsa, Okla. died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa.

Born Saturday, march 5, 1960, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of Dorothy Little Field Brent, and the late Gerald Alfred Brent, she was a health aid and member of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa.

Other survivors include a son, Walter McCaig of Steele, Mo.; a daughter, Roxanne House and husband, Michael, of Steele; a brother, Jim Brent and wife, Tammy, of Hayti, Mo., a sister, Becky Orr of Sioux City, Iowa; and a grandson, Brent Michael House of Steele.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, March 16, at Bradshaw-Osborn Funeral Home Chapel in Wardell, Mo., with the Rev. Jimmy Hood officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Wardell.

Walter Davis

Walter W. "Shag" Davis, 83, of Kennett, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Nevada Regional Hospital in Nevada, Mo.

Born June 14, 1919 in Bessville, Mo., he was a son of the late Cleve and Mollie Huffman Davis.

Surviving are three sons, James Galon Davis of Nevada, Charles Ray Davis of Evening Shade, Ark. and Ricky Ray Davis of Imperial, Mo.; a step-son, Ricky Allen Parks; one daughter, Martha Ann Chambers of Topock, Ariz.; a step-daughter, Mickie Lynn Gray; one sister, Lula Hickerson of Kennett; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three wives, Stella Kisner Davis, Eleanor McCray Davis and Nancy Williams Davis; by three brothers, Gale, Charley and Carl Davis and two sisters, Dora Simmons and Sally Payne.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Paul Cuff, Tommy Payne, Kenneth McCray, Jim Freymark, Travis Davis and James Walter Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Thomas "Buddy" Payne, J.C. Cuff, Paul Cuff, Tite Williams, Don Lynn, Gordon Payne, Randy Payne and Jimmy Rudd.

Bulah Fitzgerald

Bulah Barnett Fitzgerald, 82, of Middle Brook, Mo., died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at her home.

Born April 7, 1920, in Parma, Mo., a daughter of the late Claude and Lucy Woods Little, she was a member of the Morehouse Assembly of God Church. On July 26, 1937, she married William Taft Barnett, who preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1991. On Nov. 21, 1992, in Morehouse, Mo., she married Leslie "Ken" Fitzgerald, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two brothers, Troy Little of Morehouse and Leo Little of East Prairie, Mo.; two sisters, Velva Hankins of Morehouse and Mary Hicks of Florissant; two step-sons, Robert Fitzgerald of Middle Brook and Tom Fitzgerald of St. Peters, Mo.; one step-daughter, Geraldine Meyers of Woodriver, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Taft Udel "Dale" Barnett and one daughter, Delores Costella.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, March 16, at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, at Watkins and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Gary Meyers officiating.

Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Billy Wayne West

Billy Wayne West was born Nov. 16, 1931, near Osceola, Ark.

He was the son of James Given and Arizona Pearl Sparr West.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Loyd, Clarence, Leonard, Joe, Budd and Harold; one sister, Viama Riley; also a son, William Rex Loggins and two grandchildren; Leonard Wayne Morse and Dalton Keith Liddell.

He moved to Bragg City at the age of 2 years, and lived there until a young adult and moved to Michigan. He came back to the this area in 1961.

Most of his life he was a salesman and sold cars for nearly 40 years at Striegel Auto of Kennett.

He married Ruth (Gibss Loggins) in 1958. They each had five children, giving them 10 (five boys and five girls), and in 1976 they got a special son, Robert Joe Looney.

Their main aim was to have one family and when one married into the family you were one of their children.

Their children are Sharon and Herman Morse of Dexter; Carol and Ras Copeland of Paragould; Rodney and Debbie West of Kilgore, Texas; Phyllis and Joe Bailey of Montana; Danny and Teresa West of Hayti; David and Roxanna Loggins of Jonesboro; Brenda and Johnny Chapin of Kennett; Thad and Sonya Loggins of Kennett; Robert and Tina Looney of Paragould; Jane and Keith Liddell of Paragould.

Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

On August 23, 1968, in Boydsville, Ark., he married Ruth Gibbs who survives of the family home in Kennett.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Kennett.

West died Friday, March 14, 2003, at his residence at the age of 71.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, Sunday, March 16, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Bradshaw Chapel with Herman Morse officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Heights Cemetery at Rector, Ark.
