Stella Elizabeth Alexander, 92, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele.
Born May 16, 1910, in Cerro Gordo, Tenn., daughter of the late Don and Ada Turner Alexander, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Threet, of Blytheville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Hobert Alexander and one sister, Anna Mae Sneed.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Mousie officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Helen Karnes Helen M. Karnes, 88, of Redlands, Calif., formerly of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Plymouth Village in Redland.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rob McNabb officiating.
Burial will follow at the Lulu Cemetery in Senath.
Gale "Big" Orr, 75, of Gray Ridge, Mo., died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at his residence.
Born March 31, 1927, in Clarkton, Mo., son of the late Thomas B. and Etta King Orr, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a farmer and a member of the Essex Lions Club. He was also a member of the Gray Ridge General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Doris McCoy, of Dexter, Mo. and Ruth Tucker, of MerRouge, La.; a special nephew, Marion Dale Orr, Jr.; eight nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Marion Dale "Little" Orr, Sr.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, March 27, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
Helen Valentine, 81, of Kennett, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at her residence.
