Anna Baker

Anna Irene Baker, 78, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born Sept. 19, 1924, in St. Francis, Ark., daughter of the late Jonah Collins and Cora Ollie Sellers King, she was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 92 in Campbell. She was of the Baptist faith.

She married Cleo Pattillo and later married James Baker. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Roger Dale and Larry Don Pattillo; one granddaughter, Teresa Ann Pattillo; two great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Marvin and Billy King.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jo Deen, of Campbell and Carolyn June Crowell, of Troy, Mo.; one son, Jerry Cleo Pattillo; five sisters, Lavora Comer, of Campbell, Edith Moffitt, of Fagus, Mo., Eva Lee Matchett, of Broseley, Mo., Lois Bond, of Rombauer, Mo. and Janette Bradley, of Columbia; one brother, Bobby Dean King, of Neelyville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Hermenia Cross

Hermenia Cross, 75, of Holcomb, Mo., died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, April 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Massey officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

Lillian Lowery

Lillian Louise Lowery, 81, of Vienna, Ill., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.

Born July 7, 1921, in Trenton, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland and Clara Lee Simmons Lineberry.

She married Acy Lowery, Who preceded her in death on May 4, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, Carl William Lowery and one brother, Willie Lineberry.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Troutman and husband, Gene, of Vienna; six grandchildren, Tony Buchan and Amy Holoman, both of Vienna, Carlene Blizzard and Carl Lowery, both of Woodridge, Ill., Patrick Buchan, of New Burnside, Ill. and Tammy Willbanks, of Indianapolis, Ind. and seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell and Jeremy Blizzard, Melissa Willbanks, Jessica Buchan and Seth and Gabriel Holoman.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, April 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Dr. James Cecil officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Rdige Cemetery at Kennett.

Jimmie Russell

Bishop Jimmie Russell , 86, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, March 9, 2003, in Kennett.

Born Jan. 4, 1917, in Dancyville, Tenn., he worked for Sears and was a pastor for 42 years in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri.

On Nov. 25, 1937, in Birdsong, Ark., he married Carrie Vianna Lewis, who preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 1994. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and one sister, Flossie Hawkins.

Survivors include four sons, Jimmie Russell, Jr. and wife, Minnie, of St. Louis, Mo., Marshall Russell, of Seattle, Wash., Glenn Ray Russell, of Hayti Heights, Mo. and Carl Russell and wife, Melinda, of Kennett; three daughters, Carol J. Williams and Carmen L. Cummings and husband, Frank, all of Marshall, Mo. and Dorothy Russell, of Jefferson City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with Bishop Carl L. Russell and Jimmie Russell, Jr. officiating.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were James Williams, Carl Luster, Raymond Holmes, Ronald Green, Johnny Spain and Michael Richmond.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Avant, Ralph Harris, Johnny Gipson,and Marc, Vic and Stacey Russell.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
