James Eakens

James William "Tater" Eakens, 69, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, May 12, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born March 20, 1934, in Tallapoosa, Mo., son of the late Lathie and Nona Kent Eakens, he was a member of Local No.7686 Steelworkers Union and the First Southern Baptist Church in Risco, Mo. He was employed at Noranda Aluminum in Marston and Campbell-Kirksey Cotton Gin.

On May 16, 1953, in Tallapoosa, Mo., he married Josilea Mollineaux, who preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1977 and on Nov. 10. 1978, in Marston, Mo., he married Audrey Clayton Davis, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include five daughters, Laura Eakens, of Chicago, Ill., Deborah Cummins and husband, Steven, of Marston, Sherri Ragan and husband, Lee and Jamie Aaron and husband, Keith, all of Malden and Sarah Hayes and husband, Paul, of Newport, Ark.; one son, Jeffrey Eakens Davis, of Bloomfield, Mo.; two sisters, Billie Jean Shaw, of Auburn Heights, Mich. and Mary Owens, of Malden; 12 grandchildren, Steven Matthew, James Anthony, Benjamin Joseph and Katherine Ellen Cummins, Rachel Nicole Barbre, Timothy Ryan Ragan, Hannah Elizabeth, Rebecca Lynn and Dalton Andrew Hayes, Olivia Renee Fowler Aaron, Amanda Lee Ann Aaron and Christopher Kyle Davis and five great-grandchildren, Sidney Elaine, Cody Matthew, Susan Josilea and Dakota Leighann Cummins and Megan Rachaye Barbre.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Randall and Roger Stanley Eakens; one sister, Julia May Eakens and one gandson, Johnathan Cummins.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Genevia Luther

Genevia Lemonds Luther, 90, of Kennett, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at National Healthcare in Kennett.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sumach Cemetery in Holcomb, Mo.

Mary Willcut

Mary K. Willcut, 68, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, May 12, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Nov. 14, 1934, in Bernie, Mo., daughter of the late Bessie Durham, she was employed at Brown Shoe and was of the Baptist faith.

She married J.T. Moylan, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1986. On April 6, 1987, in Malden, she married Ronald Paul Willcut, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two step-daughters, Rhonda Allen, of Malden and Angela Cluck, of Bernie, Mo.; one step-son, Brian Willcut, of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Jerry Durham, of Geneva, Ill. and James Williamson, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one sister, Bessie Suttles, of Malden and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
