Fluroride Varnish Program

Staff photo by Lecia Forester n order to improve the oral health of the children in the Kennett area, an oral health education program was created to improve the dental knowledge of the teachers at Masterson Elementary and South Elementary Schools. Teachers were given 1-hour educational sessions on problems that they might encounter with children's mouths and what to do in dental emergencies. Approximately 50 teachers in grades K-5 participated in the program. As a thank you for their attention they were given dental gift bags and entered in a drawing for a basket with an electric toothbrush and other dental care products. Kristi Jett, Masterson Elementary teacher, was the winner of the drawing. Standing left to right are: Dr. Chin, Kristi Jett, and Alyce Bryant.
