William Moore is headed to Atlanta.

Moore, a key part of four straight Mizzou Tigers bowl teams and on three outstanding Hayti High school football teams, was taken in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons Saturday evening.

Moore, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound safety, recorded 11 interceptions in his college career and is regarded by many as having the potential to become a starter in the NFL.

According to atlantafalcons.com, Falcons' general manager Thomas Dimitroff said that Moore will be a strong safety for the team.

Local fans will be able to see Moore play when the Falcons take on the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome on August 21 in a preseason game.
