Weathering the storm

Usually I write about sports, but there's not much happening in the sports world since the Bootheel is recovering from THE ice storm of the 21st century.
One of my friends and colleagues asked me last night how I was doing, and I said, "Surviving." It's different being without electricity, any stores or restautants open and no gasoline -- and in my case, not staying in my own house. Thankfully, there is a place I could lay my head last night and get what I need to make it. Thank God for the Slicer Street Church of Christ and the Red Cross for providing electricity, heat, food, a place to sleep and even a place to blog. In a world that has suddenly gone insane, it is good to know all is not lost... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
