Kennett officially looking for a football coachPosted Monday, January 5, 2009, at 9:57 PM
The search for Kennett's next high school football coach has officially begun.
The district posted the position, along with opening for a head and assistant boys' soccer coach, were posted in an advertisement on the Missouri Teaching Jobs web site on Monday. According to the ad, the district is "seeking applicants for the positions of head high school football coach, head high school boys soccer coach, and assistant high school boys soccer coach. The teaching assignments for these positions have yet to be determined." The head football job came open after Kirk Welch resigned following a 6-4 season this fall. In four years at Kennett, Welch had a record of 17-22, including the program's first back-to-back winning seasons since 1999-2000. Welch's resignation was accepted by the Kennett Board of Education at its meeting in December. Keep reading the Daily Dunklin Democrat and dddnews.com for more information as it becomes available. |
