KHS sports schedule...

Posted Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 1:36 PM

After suffering through one rainout after another last week -- and most of the spring, for that matter -- the Kennett Indians and Lady Indians hope to get some games in the next few days.

Here's what's on the docket for Monday and Tuesday:

Monday
Baseball --
hosts South Pemiscot, 4 p.m.
Softball -- at Portageville, 4 p.m.
Soccer --hosts Greene County, 5 p.m.
Golf -- at Poplar Bluff Invitational.

Tuesday
Baseball --
at Senath-Hornersville, 4 p.m.
Softball -- hosts Senath-Hornersville, 4:30 p.m.
Soccer -- at Paragould, 5 p.m.
Golf -- at Caruthersville.
Track -- hosts Caruthersville, Hayti, Charleston and Scott County Central, 4 p.m.

Tuesday's baseball and softball matchups are especially interesting, not only because Kennett and Senath-Hornersville are also big rivals, but both schools are among the favorites in the Bootheel Conference in their respective sports. Whoever wins Tuesday's games has to feel good about their chances of capturing the conference title.

Also, Monday's baseball game against South Pemiscot is interesting not only because it matches up the last two Bootheel Conference champions, but it will also be the first time that Kennett coach Aaron New has coached against his old team -- a team that he led to the state finals in 2006.

As I often say, one thing is sure: it will be interesting...

Is there anyway you could post the scores on a daily basis so we will at least know who is winning?
