Class 3, District 1 seeds released; Class 2 District 1 boys' seeds AND pairings released

The seeds for the Class 3, District 1 Tournament at Portageville were released Thursday.

On the boys' side, they are: 1) Charleston; 2) Portageville; 3) Scott City; 4) New Madrid County Central; 5) Kennett; 6) East Prairie; 7) Kelly; and 8) Caruthersville.

On the girls' side, they are: 1) Portageville; 2) Kelly; 3) Caruthersville; 4) NMCC; 5) Scott City; 6) East Prairie; 7) Charleston; and 8) Kennett.

Pairings will be announced later.

At Holcomb, the boys' pairings look like this:

First round
Saturday, Feb. 23
(1) Hayti vs. (8) Senath-Hornersville, 2:30 p.m.
(2) Bernie vs. (7) Holcomb, 4 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 25
(4) Naylor vs. (5) South Pemiscot, 6 p.m.
