Pairings announced for Campbell, Clarkton holiday tourneys

Change is the word of the day for next week's Bootheel basketball tourneys next week.

First of all, Campbell has inaugurated its own holiday tournament. The tourney will start Monday and run through Thursday, with Wednesday as an off night.

Naylor is the top seed, followed by (in order) Campbell, Neelyville, Armorel (Ark.), Delta C7, Senath-Hornersville, Southland and Campbell's junior varsity squad.

1-8 loser vs. 4-5 loser, 4 p.m.
2-3 loser vs. 6-7 loser, 5:30 p.m.
1-8 winner vs. 4-5 winner, 7 p.m.
2-3 winner vs. 6-7 winner, 8:30 p.m.

Thursday
Seventh place, 4 p.m.
Consolation final, 5:30 p.m.
Third place, 7 p.m.
Championship, 8:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Clarkton Holiday Tournament is shifting to a pool play format this year, with the championship game matchups determined by performance in pool play.
