Delta C7 snaps 41-game losing streakPosted Friday, November 30, 2007, at 10:29 PM
The Delta C7 Chargers did something Friday night that they haven't done in nearly three years: win a basketball game.
The Chargers defeated Senath-Hornersville 63-52 in the consolation semifinals of the Senath-Hornersville Lions Invitational, snapping a 41-game skid that dated back to February 2005. Delta C7 (1-1) was 0-20 in 2005-06, 0-19 last year and lost its first game of this season Tuesday in the first round of the Lions Invitational. "It feels good. It feels good, man, it does," Delta guard Sloan Richardson said afterwards. Sophomore point guard Damian Flowers scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Chargers to the victory. Sloan is my 2nd cousin, so I feel good for him. But his Mother and I went to SHHS. I feel bad for them.
