Tennessee Titans' cornerback Cortland Finnegan (right) tackles Indianapolis Colts' running back Kenton Keith (36) as defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (92) fights off a Reggie Wayne block to assist during Sunday's game.

Despite nearly rallying from a 13-point deficit in a 22-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, there were no moral victories for the Tennessee Titans.

"When we took the field today, we expected to win, Super Bowl champs or no Super Bowl champs," Titans' tight end Bo Scaife said. "It's our home field and we feel like we can play with anyone in the league. So our mindset is whoever's across on the other side of the ball, we expect to win."

Indianapolis got 312 yards passing from Peyton Manning and built a 19-6 lead in the third quarter, but Tennessee scored a pair of touchdowns to make it a two-point game in the fourth quarter and had the ball in the final minute before coming up short.

Quarterback Vince Young threw for 184 yards and a fourth-quarter TD to Roydell Williams on 17-of-27 passing and added 53 yards rushing.

LenDale White led the Titans in rushing with 64 yards and his first-ever touchdown on 15 carries, while Williams had four catches for 72 yards and Brandon Jones added 57 yards on five catches.

Payback is sweet: Early in the third quarter, Titans' defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was whistled for a neutral zone infraction as Colts' quarterback Peyton Manning pointed at him.

Two plays later, Haynesworth sacked Manning for an eight-yard loss to stall a drive and hold the Colts to a field goal.

"It probably shouldn't have been called because the guard jumped on the other side," said Hanyesworth of the infraction. "I got back and the [umpire] said I got back.

"For him to call that on me wasn't right, but you know? I'm the target of the NFL," Haynesworth added with a smile, referring to a 15-yard penalty at Jacksonville last week that resulted in a $5,000 fine for the defensive tackle.

An extra spring in his step? Tennessee Titans' defensive tackled Corey Simon seemed to have an extra spring in his step as he was warming up before Sunday's game.

Was it because he was facing the team he was a member of the last two seasons and that cut him last month?

Guess again.

"That's the same excitement I come out to every game with," said Simon after the game. "(People) just don't know it because I've only been here two games and this is the first home game. I just love to play this game. I'm going to come out with excitement because I understand this is a privilege.

"When you understand that this game can be taken away from you real easy, you go out there and you're excited about it because this is what I love to do."
