Observations -- If I were president

If I were president, I would immediately take steps to slow down global warming (I am not really concerned about global warming by the way).

The first thing I would do is order all air traffic stopped. That's right! No more commercial air traffic. Think of the global-warming-producing emissions that would stop.

Who needs to fly anyway? Now that Al Gore has invented the world-wide Web, and since it has been operational for several years, we can communicate instantaneously via the Internet.

We have cameras in computers that enable us to transmit video. We can couple that with our conversations and conduct any business necessary. Yes?

And think of how the terror threat would be severely hampered since there would no longer be air traffic. If a jet, other than our own military jets, was seen in the sky, just shoot it down! There would not be another 9-11.

I also think I would severely restrict the amount of gasoline any one person could purchase. Who needs to travel anyway?

We can watch movies at home. With modern technology, we have surround sound and high definition television. We can sit at home and watch a movie and pretend we're right in the middle of things!

We can order food online and have it delivered right to our front door. In fact, we can order everything we need online and have it delivered right to our door. We no longer need automobiles or jets.

If I were president! What a difference it would make!

What do you think (not really!)?

I think you should be president (as long as I were the Vice-President) While you try to stop global warming, I'll go watch NASCAR let out all those global warming producing emmissions before you ban them too! HA

oefvet...that sounds like something productive for a vice-president to do!

Perhaps you would volunteer for one of his campaign workers. He'll need all the help he can get!

IF I WERE PRESIDENT I WOULD EXECUTE THE DEATH PENALTY IN ALL 50 STATES. I WOULD BUILD A 1 BILLION DOLLAR FACILITY TO HOUSE ALL THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO MAKE SOCCER BALLS FOR THE NEW SOCCER FIELDS BEING BUILT IN KENNETT. I WOULD GIVE ALL TEACHERS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS A 50% PAY RAISE. I WOULD GET RID OF LAW INFORCMENT SALLARY AND ONLY PAY THEM BASED ON COMMISSION (STAYING AT PIZZA HUT WOULD PUT AN OFFICER IN THE NEGATIVE, NOT WRITING TICKETS FOR EXPIRED TAGS, NOT WRITING TICKETS FOR BUSTED TAIL LIGHTS, NOT WRITING TICKETS FOR CHILDREN STANDING UP AND NOT IN CAR SEATS, NOT WRITING TICKETS FOR DRUNK DRIVERS, NOT WRITING TICKETS FOR WELL KNOWN DRINKING AND DRIVING INDIVIDUALS, WOULD ALSO PUT THIER PAY IN THE NEGATIVE (I COULD GO ON BUT WILL NOT) I WOULD REPAVE EVERY STREET IN KENNETT WITH THE 1 BILLION DOLLAR SOCCER FIELDS BEING BUILT AND MAKE THE LAND WHERE THE SOCCER FIELDS ARE BEING BUILT INTO MORE LOW INCOME HOUSES WHICH WILL INCREASE THE TAX REVENUE FROM THE HARD WORKING INDIVIDUALS WHO RESIDE IN THEM. I WOULD INCREASE THE TAXES BY 150% TO BUILD MORE LOW INCOME HOUSING AND BUILD A BIGGER MEDICAID PROGRAM AND INCREASE THE MONEY TO BE GIVEN BACK TO LOW INCOME WELFARE ENJOYING PEOPLE AT THE END OF THE TAX YEAR.

OH THIS BLOG WAS WHAT IF YOU WERE PRESIDENT. SORRY I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO KNOW IF I WAS PRESIDENT. BELAY MY LAST.

polebarnbuilder, I think you have about the same chance as Jack of getting elected. And I would probably vote for the both of you!

LOL I WILL KEEP THAT IN MIND!

Since Al Gore was actually considered and almost won the presidential election you both have a good chance. Got my vote.

i was almost president once, then they told me i needed to trade in my overalls for a suit. well, that was the end of that! you can take the redneck to the white house, but ya can't make him put on a suit.

that made more sense when i was thinkin' it.

It would be very interesting if you (or I) were president.

If I were president I think I would put a lot of thought into changing the Constitution so the Constitution would be working for the victims and not the criminals. There are way too many loop holes and way to much margin to turn the wording around and it does more harm than help. I know I would definetly make changes in having harsher punishment for the criminals.
