Pops might've been a mechanic… but that doesn't mean I belong under the hood.Posted Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at 2:35 PM
Don't get me wrong; I am a fan of the Kennedy family. However, just because someone's bloodline was heavily involved in politics doesn't necessarily mean they belong in the ring. Look at W. as an example of what I mean. (He's something else, that Jr.) Anyone see the Oliver Stone masterpiece btw? LoVed it! And now something from the associated press:
Once Clinton is confirmed to President-elect Barack Obama's cabinet, New York Gov. David Paterson will appoint someone to fill the seat for two years.
The Kennedy family's connections and history cannot force Paterson to choose Caroline, who is the daughter of President John F. Kennedy. But the family's strong support could increase pressure on Paterson to choose her above lesser-known contenders.
Seeking the Senate seat would also be a significant departure from the life that she has lived until now, zealously guarding her family's privacy--and her own.
Robert Kennedy said the family would come out en masse for her if she does get the appointment and has to run for election in 2010.
"If she runs, you will see more Kennedys than you have ever seen in your life," he said. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Careful hanging your hat on Oliver Stone. He has a keen knack for distorting information and submitting items as facts (example: "JFK"). I would think the younger Bush has provided enough ammunition without having to add more. I agree with you totally with regard to Caroline being considered for a position simple because of her family. To do so would place us in the same category as the English Monarchy!
