The following article ran in a local newspaper in Southern California today. After reading it, it occurred to me that this is typical Southern California and really most of America today......are we all (really) so busy?
Flu shots offered to folks in their cars at Moorpark College (Moorpark, CA) The first ever "Drive-Thru Flu Clinic" with free flu vaccinations takes place this Friday at Moorpark College courtesy of the Ventura County Public Health Department. The event starts at 8 a.m. Drivers are directed to enter the college campus via Collins Road, take the first left past Campus Park Drive, and follow the signs. It's even easier after that. Just stay in your car and roll up your sleeve. The free flu shots are offered to adults 18-years-old and over. The purpose of the drive-thru approach is to give public health officials a glimpse at how well state and local agencies work together in the event of a pandemic or other public health emergency. what happened to WAITING 30 minutes after getting the flu shot? Isn't that kinda reckless???
That 30 minute wait is just a way for them to find something else they can bill you for. isnt it?
You cant drink and drive, but liquor stores have a drive thru window. Whats next, Drive thru Demerol. If a doctor can make some cash at it they'll do it. Buzzerds
I was led to believe by the nurses that the "wait" time was to make sure there was no reaction to the shot????? I guess out there it is OK to drive and have a reaction at the same time.
From my last driving experiance in SOCA, MOST drivers are having some kind of a reaction anyway.
