The annual RSVP Christmas social was held at the Malden Community Center. Jeannie Collins, Director of RSVP, hosted the affair. A delicious holiday buffet was served and gifts were distributed. Guests were photographed with Santa and his sleigh.

Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Ross and daughter of Ozark, Mo. spent the Christmas holidays with their family and relatives in Malden.

Christmas Eve services at the Malden United Methodist Church featured songs by the youth choir of Macedonia Baptist Church of Malden.

Families and relatives of residents at Malden's Golden Living Center were entertained with a Christmas party Friday afternoon. Festive refreshments were served.

School Superintendent Chris Hon of Poplar Bluff appeared on television channel 12 from Cape Girardeau in regard to teacher training in the event of catastrophe. Chris is a Risco native and a graduate of Risco High School.

Mr. and Mrs. John Amon have returned home following a Christmas holiday trip to their family, Hank and Lori Pierce of Rogers, Arkansas.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lape of Mountain Home, Arkansas, spent the Christmas holidays with family and relatives in Malden.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ware of Farmington, Mo. enjoyed a holiday visit with Mrs. Clara Ware and Sally.

David Mallory of Springfield, Missouri spent the holidays with mother, Mrs. Phyllis Mallory.

Jake Welsch, a student at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Ill., spent the holidays with his father John Welsch, and Mrs. Betty Welsch and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Santie have returned following a holiday visit with relatives in Atcheson, Kansas and also John Summers of Atcheson.
