Family relations of the residents of the Golden Living Center-Malden were entertained by the staff at a Christmas party. Refreshments were served.

Thanks goes to all who helped with the bake sale at the Malden Senior Nutrition Center. Those who baked, bought and worked the sale- a great success! The afghan giveaway was won by Jay Garland. The Christmas dessert buffet on Friday was compliments of Harps Grocery.

Larry Wagster of Oxford, Mississippi is on an extended visit with his father J.D. Wagster.

A candlelight service was held at the United Methodist Church in Malden Monday evening, Christmas Eve.

The annual holiday dinner of the Gideon McCord Gin was held at the Gideon School Cafeteria. Prizes were awarded to the lucky.

The congregation of the First Baptist Church at Risco held a dinner following services last Sunday to honor Pastor Lewis Scott and his wife Pat. They are moving their residence to the Marble Hill area the first of the year.

The Christmas program by the youth of the First Christian Church was presented Sunday evening with a fellowship hour and snacks afterward in the fellowship hall.

Many Malden folks attended the special Christmas services at the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery.

JoAnn and Bo McCurter entertained friends and relatives in observance of their 60th wedding anniversary. The party was held in the Fellowship Hall of the First Southern Baptist Church Saturday afternoon. A lovely buffet was served to the guests.

Mr. and Mrs. George Hartsfield of Jefferson City, Mo. spent the weekend in Maiden with relatives. George served as a two term mayor of Jefferson City. He is a former Malden resident and Malden High School graduate.
