There were 1,575 delicious meals served at the Salvation Army Post in Cape Girardeau to folks on Thanksgiving Day. In addition, there was a coat giveaway sponsored. Lillian Dock of Malden spends her Thanksgiving Day, plus each year, on this worthy project at the post. Lillian represents the Salvation Army of Dunklin County-a tremendous service!

Mrs. Carman Camp and daughter Madison of Memphis spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Malden with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Miller entertained family for a Thanksgiving dinner in their home.

The Malden First United Methodist Church is participating in a unified drive for donations in relief of the Hurricane Sandy aftermath in the Eastern United States.

Malden friends were advised of the death of Mr. Dwight McQuary of Dexter last week. We remember picking strawberries at his farm some years ago.

The spirit of the holiday season abounds with the Christmas decorations in the Malden Historical Museum.

The Stokelan Drive Christian Church fellowship study meets on Thursday afternoons at four o'clock.

The annual bake sale will be held at the Malden Nutrition Center on Friday, December 14. In addition, the beautiful hand knitted afghan will be raffled off.
