Friends in Malden have been advised of the death of Mrs. Dorothy Edmison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in October. The Edmisons resided in Malden while the late Carl Edmison was an instructor for U.S. pilots at the Malden Airbase. Two sons survive, namely Coin and Allen, who attended the Malden School System.
~~~~~~ A Thanksgiving dinner was served at the Malden Senior Nutrition Center last Tuesday at noon. The turkey was donated by Mrs. Carl Townsend. Thanks are in order. ~~~~~~ Bobby and Kristie Cowgill and son have returned home following a Thanksgiving visit with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lape of Mountain Home, Arkansas. ~~~~~~ J.D Wagster spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his son Larry Wagster and family in Oxford, Mississippi. ~~~~~~ Mrs. Betty Qualls spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Jackson, Mo. with her son Bruce Qualls and family. ~~~~~~ Fourteen families received turkey dinners from the First Christian Church in observance of Thanksgiving Day. ~~~~~~ Narvel Felts of Malden presented a concert at the Collins Theater in downtown Paragould, Arkansas last Friday evening. Appearing with Narvel were Gary Prince, Sugar Creek and Terry Wood. ~~~~~~ Kimberly Hickson of Campbell has received a bachelor of science with a major in General Studies from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. ~~~~~~ Recent bus loads of visitors to the Malden Youth Museum included the following: Rector, Ark. Elementary School, First Grade Christian Academy, Modern Woodman of America, Doniphan RI, Crowley Ridge Academy, Doniphan RII, New Madrid Special Education, Puxico Elementary and Matthews Elementary. ~~~~~~ Bobby Webster of Sacramento, Calif. visited his Matthews/Corn relatives in Malden during the Thanksgiving holidays. |
