Jeannie Collins, Director of the Dunklin County RSVP, again entertained volunteers at the annual noon luncheon at the Malden Community Center recently. The luncheon was catered by Karen Campbell of "Tasteful Creations" of Quilin. The AmeriCorps group performed the entertainment skit. Jeannie coordinates 199 volunteers in 19 volunteer stations in Dunklin County.

The birthday anniversary of Homer Lee Woolard was celebrated by relatives and friends in the Malden Nutrition Center last week.

The Bernie High School students did a special event for Halloween. Instead of the usual trick or treat, they scouted for food to be distributed for a very worthy and noble cause. Kudos to Bernie!

Chris Hahn of Campbell graduated with a bachelor of science degree in education (secondary ed) and a major in physical education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

The town of Campbell held their annual Halloween parade on Wednesday night.

Doug Libla of Poplar Bluff, the candidate for the Missouri State Senate, visited in Malden and enjoyed lunch in Malden's Nutrition Center.

The following bus loads of visitors toured the Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden recently: Southland Preschool, West Point Christian Academy, Malden Elementary Bird House, Matthews Elementary, Clearwater Elementary, Neelyville Elementary and Malden Preschool.
