Malden's High School volleyball coach Jon Smith was interviewed on a sport's program on YHCTV, Channel 21 last week. Coach Smith described upcoming volleyball tournaments.

Malden historical photographic books are available at the Malden Historical Museum. These booklets contain memorable pictures of earlier Malden days. The museum is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Flu shots were administered at the Malden Nutrition Center last Thursday. The flu shots were administered by the Dunklin County Health Department.

Malden's Narvel Felts performed at the Iowa State Fair, Des Moines, Iowa this past summer.

The Council Board of the Malden Nutrition Center held their regular monthly meeting last Thursday.

Malden folks attended the annual Quilin festival last weekend.

The Salvation Army is again readying for the Christmas red kettles and bell ringing for the Walmart Store in Malden. Volunteers are needed for this worthy cause of love. Please call Lillian Dock at (573) 276-2639 or Robert Wake at (573) 281-5140. Help would be deeply appreciated.

The staff and the entire Malden Senior Center wishes to extend appreciation to the Mission Blitz effort for all the large cans of food donated to the Malden Senior Center. Special thanks goes to all the churches, business firms and individual who contributed to this worthwhile effort.

Mrs. Ken Lavy of Dexter entertained her Malden Bridge Club last week.

The brand new Brosley, Missouri Senior Center was dedicated last week. Kathy Williams is the Center's Director.

Pat Hunter has returned home to Franklin, Tenn. following a visit with relatives in Malden.

Bingo games will be enjoyed in the recreation room of the Malden Senior Center on Thursday, October 25.

Jeannie Herbst recently spent a weekend in Columbia, Mo.

John Hoehn of Branson bagged a turkey with bow and arrow recently. John is a former Malden resident.
