Malden's Narvel Felts appeared in concert in Hemsby, Norfolk, England Saturday, October 6. He was a featured artist at the Hemsby Rockin' Roll Weekender #49, Seacroft Holiday Site, along with Gene Gambler and the Shufflers and many more artists.

Ricky Hicks of Saint James, Mo. has returned home after a visit with his father, Bobby Hicks.

A number of Malden folks attended the lecture by retired U.S. Army General Colin Powell at the Show Me Center of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau last week.

The Hoehns attended a 60th wedding anniversary dinner last weekend honoring William Nicholaus Baltz II and his wife Laverne. Over 90 attended the dinner which was held at the Zoar United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall in Columbia, Ill.

The Board of the Malden Historic Museum held the monthly meeting in the museum Wednesday evening. Charles Dierks is chairman of the board.

Malden folks have received letters denoting the Kennett Delta Children's Home Auction on October 28 at the American Legion Building in Kennett from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

John Sidney Davis of Tampa, Florida accompanied by his sister Beth, visited with Malden and poplar Bluff friends recently. Johnny and Beth are former Malden residents.

Herbert Luke was recently honored with an 85th birthday celebration held at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton. Many family and friends were in attendance.

Residents of Malden's Golden Living Center enjoyed musical entertainment Thursday afternoon, followed by an ice cream and cake social hour.

Richard Bath of Lee's Summit, Mo. spent last week with his mother, Mrs. Barbara Bath.

The announcers at a recent Cardinals game declared that a large Poplar Bluff assemblage was in attendance for the game.

In August, Narvel Felts performed at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, Mo.

Cynthia Williams of Bernie graduated with a bachelor of science in general studies at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Karen Hoehn and her sister Joanie Greer of Arkansas have returned home after a week spent in Boston, Mass.
