Narvel Felts of Malden appeared in a performance at the Alma Arkansas Performing Arts Center in Alma, Arkansas on Saturday evening, September 18.

The Board of the Malden Nutrition Site met on Thursday. The date for the bake sale was set for Friday, December 14. Tickets for the afghan will be sold prior to that date

The staff of the Malden Nutrition Site has issued a call for volunteer help.

Dana Gough, social services and activities director at the Malden Nursing and Rehab Center, conducted Bingo games with prizes at the Malden Nutrition Center on Thursday.

Clyde and Carolyn Harves of Sikeston visited with Malden friends over the weekend. The Harves are former Malden residents.

Katherine Krupinski has returned to her studies at Northwestern University at Evanston, Ill. after the summer spent in Malden.

Mrs. Judy Leet of Pacific, Mo. along with her family, visited relatives in Malden over the weekend.

Kennett's Sheryl Crow appeared as a special guest on the new Katie Couric show on television. Sheryl appeared in clips with her two sons and also in a clip with Michael Jackson.

The Women's Missionary Society of Bethany General Baptist Church sponsored a dinner in the church's fellowship hall last Saturday.

Kimberly Hickson of Campbell received a degree in Education at commencement exercises held at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

"Malden Day" at Busch Stadium for the St. Louis Cardinals game was enjoyed by approximately 125 -150 avid Cardinal fans. Becky Collins, Byron Proffer, Kalen Siebert and Mike Deen participated in the pre-game festivities on the mound- a great day! The only blur was the Cardinal loss.
