Tray King of Redmond, Oregon spent the Malden Homecoming weekend with friends in Malden. Tray attended the Malden schools with his mother Mrs. Juanita King, was a teacher in the Malden School system for many years. Tray was a member of the 1957 class of Malden High.

Charles Bolton of Paducah, Ky., and Matt Moore of Dexter visited with Mrs. Liz Bolton last week.

Joe and Cindy Thompson of Campbell are announcing the birth of a son, Jase Owen, born at the Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Margaret and Ross Kirchoeffer of St. Louis, spent the Malden Homecoming weekend in Malden. Margaret is a former Malden High School graduate.

The Bootheel History Highlights program held at the Malden Historic Museum was well attended and a great success. Paul Arnold, Bootheel historian, conducted the session.

A number of Malden folks attended the Jo Ann Emerson rally in the Kennett square last week. Also the Kennett arts and music festival held at the square.

Dana Gough, Social Services and Activity Director of the Stokelan Nursing and Rehab conducted Bingo games at the Malden Nutrition site last week. Prizes were awarded.

"Mission Blitz" is on going throughout the community during September. Article collections will be targeted for the Malden Women's Shelter, and tall cans of food for the Malden Senior Nutrition Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lucas of East Prairie, Mo., spent the weekend in Malden with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Mitchell. Martin filled the pulpit of the First Christian Church Sunday morning in Jeff Krupinski's absence.

Chris Hon, Poplar Bluff School Superintendent appeared on Cape Girardeau Tv, and the Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic newspaper in regard to a Poplar Bluff bus driver demeanor. Chris is a Risco native and Risco High School graduate.
