Mrs. Pamela Delbone of Poplar Bluff visited the Malden Historical Museum last week seeking family background history on the Sheely Family.

Jenny Massey of Bernie has been conducted into Tri Beta-Beta-Beta national honor society at the Walnut Williams Baptist College at Walnut Ridge, Ark.

A festive retirement event took place on Friday afternoon, honoring Mrs. Georgia Higgs at the Malden Senior Citizen Center. Georgia was tendered gifts upon her retirement of sixteen years as cook and planner in the Senior Center beginning March 12, 1992. Everyone expressed sincere best wishes.

Corrected hours at the Malden Historical Museum are 1:30 to 4:30, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Steve Wallace of Malden is the Dunklin County Republican chairman of the Republican caucus. The district convention will be held in Poplar Bluff on April 21.

Pastor Pam Eakey of the Malden United Methodist Church was the guest speaker Sunday afternoon at the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church in Caruthersville, Mo.

Stokes Howell has returned home to New York City following a stay with Malden friends. Stokes is a former Malden resident.

Youngsters enjoyed a fun filled Easter egg hunt on the grounds of the Stokeland Drive Christian Church on Saturday morning before Easter.

Youngsters enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at the Beechwell Baptist Church off J Highway last Saturday morning. Light refreshments were served following the egg hunt. Gary Guzersinger is the pastor at Beechwell.

Galen Williams was the guest speaker at the Spoonerville Baptist Church last Sunday morning.

Jimmy Hollingshad, Malden City Emergency Manager, passed out disaster supply sheets to the folks at the Malden Nutrition Center last week.

Recent bus loads of visitors attended the Malden Bootheel Youth Museum as follows: Kids Corner, Grandin Elementary School, Malden Kindergarten Pond Science, Hillview Early Childhood, Lonestar, Saint Dennis, Saint Augustine, and Westwood Baptist Academy.
