Mr. Bill Ware of Farmington, Mo., spent the weekend in Malden with his mother Mrs. Clara Ware, and friends.

Harold Urge is a patient in the Mission, Texas hospital while vacationing in Texas. All is progressing very well.

The successful monetary drive for the annual Kenny Rogers Children Center in Sikeston was telecast over Dexter TV station channel 21 last weekend.

John Summers and family of Junction City, Kansas, spent last weekend with friends in Malden. John is a former Malden resident and high school graduate.

Continuing Lenten week observance was observed at the Malden United Methodist Church last Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Reverend James Pemberton wasw the guest speaker. Light refreshments and cookies were served following the service in the fellowhip hall.

Malden folks attended the Willie Nelson family concert held at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau Saturday evening. An overflow of crowd was on hand.

The following entertained with birthday parties at the Malden Bootheel Youth Museum recently: Zoey Wawak, Justin Moore, Braxton Martin, Harley Martin, Kylah Hill, Aiden Norden, Jaden Cobb, Morgen Garner, Easton Dockins, Ava Gurley, Jaleen Reed, Ayrasun Roberts, and Laila Muller. Birthday cake and punch were served to the guest and relatives of the celebrants in the party room.

Easter baskets filled with candy, cookies and small sundries are being gathered at the First Christian Church for distribution to the Malden Nursing Homes. This is an annual event.

Larry Wagster has returned home following a visit with his father J.D. Wagster of Malden. Larry lives in Oxford, Ms.
