A bus tour will pick up folks in Senath, Kennett, Campbell and Poplar Bluff en route to Farmington, Mo., where they will attend a concert on Saturday evening March 17. The star attraction will be Malden's legendary Narvel Felts.

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Demaree and family have returned home following a visit with Malden relatives and friends.

Several Malden and area veterans attended the Veteran's concert presented at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff last Friday. Famous singer artist Lee Greenwood was the feature attraction.

Paul and Jo Lape of Mountain Home, Ark., spent last weekend in Malden with family and friends.

Norma and Calvin Hartsfield have returned home form a vacation trip to Florida.

The First Christian Church fellowship study club met a the home of Barbara and Ralph Langston on J Hwy. last Wednesday morning. Pastor Jeff Krupinski led the morning lesson study.

A new Lenten study, entitled "Final Words" is going on during the month of March at the Malden United Methodist Church. The class meets at 10:30 a.m. Monday mornings in Malden, and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Holcomb. Pastor Pam Ekey is the leader of the study. All are welcome.

A large group attended the breakfast sponsored at the Sunnyvale Baptist Church on Saturday morning. James Hamlett is the pastor at Sunnyvale.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Patterson and family spent last Saturday in Batesville, Ark., where they attended a college baseball game. The Hannibal LeGrange, Mo., team played the Lyon college team. Brandon Bennett a 2010 Risco High School graduate is a member of the Hannibal LeGrange baseball team. The next game for Hannibal LeGrange will be with the Southeast Missouri State team in Cape Girardeau.

Bill and Retha Blake visited in Wilson, Ark., last week.

The Dexter Audible Hearing Aid Center provides free monthly service in the conference room of the Malden Senior Citizen Nutrition Center. Appointments would be greatly appreciated by the staff.

Recent birthday parties were celebrated at the Malden Bootheel Youth Museum as follows: Kristen Dees, Brooklyn Boyle, Tylyne and Khyrie Mathis, Karissa Welty, Kyle Henry, Lucas Kegley, and Raylee Harmon. The guests and relatives of the celebrants enjoyed cake and ice cream in the museum party room.
