A large crowd attended the annual Soup and Chili Day at Saint Ann's Catholic Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday. Lisa Weidenbenner of Campbell was the lucky winner of the 50/50 prize drawing.

Dick Beall has been a recuperative patient at the Clear View Nursing Center on Salcedo Street in Sikeston.

Marilyn Smith, RN of Grace Health Care Services of Springfield, Missouri, conducted foot health care at the Malden Nutrition Center last week. This service is funded by the Southeast Missouri Board of Aging in Cape Girardeau.

A "Fifties" party was held and enjoyed by the residents and guests of the Golden Living Center last week. Games were enjoyed, music of the era was provided and refreshments were served by the staff.

Malden and area firemen attended the retirement party and reception honoring retired Fire Chief Al Banken of the Dexter Fire Department on Sunday afternoon. The reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Dexter on Sunday afternoon. Lovely refreshments were served.

Pat Haskins Hunter has returned home to Franklin, Tennessee following a stay in Malden with relatives.

Martha Nell Downing Twist has returned home following a stay in Malden. A resident of Rogers, Arkansas, Martha is a former Malden resident and graduate of Malden High School.

The Audibel Hearing Aid Center conducted a month service at the Malden Nutrition Center Tuesday, January 24.

Bus loads of visitors come to Malden to tour the Bootheel Youth Museum on North Douglass. Recent visitors included Southland Preschool, Westpoint Christian Academy, Malden Elementary, Bird House, O'Neal Elementary, Greenville Elementary, First Baptist Church of Morehouse, Mo., Poplar Bluff Home School, Malden Box Tops, Pemiscot County R3, Thursday School, and Torch Light Home School Co-op. Many of the visitors enjoy their lunch in the Missouri Party Room.
