The recent memorable World War II Veterans trip to Washington, D.C. was shown on television KFVS, Cape Girardeau, last week. David Shaw, WW II veteran from Malden was among the group. The Poplar Bluff and Dexter Midwest Banks sponsored this memorable trip.

The staff and the board of the Malden Nutrition Center want to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who baked and those who purchased the delicious goodies for the center's annual bake sale last week. The event was a huge success.

Miss Jamie Fields, the daughter of Jim and Kay Fields of Collierville, Tenn., will receive a degree in Animal Science during commencement exercises at the University of Tennesse at Knoxville, Tenn., Friday, December 3. Jamie is the granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Daughtery, and the niece of Mr. Drue Daughtery, both of Malden.

Saliah Henson and Sue Bostic of Malden appeared on television KFVS, Cape Girardeau, during a Malden City Council meeting last Monday evening. The issue was the method of animal euthanasia at the Malden City dog pound.

Mrs. Amy Hollmon and daughters Samantha and Summer of St. Louis spent the Thanksgiving holidays with Mike and Sharon Deen and other relatives.

Mrs. Betty Qualls spent the Thanksgiving holidays with relatives in Batesville, Ark.

Gus Ellsworth of Chicago spent Thanksgiving week in Malden with friends. Until recently, Gus was a long time Malden resident.

Crafts are in progress every Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Malden Nutrition Center.

Phil and Judy Santie entertained with a family dinner on Thanksgiving day.

Mr. F.L. Robinson deserves a huge vote of thanks for donating fresh vegetables as gifts for the patrons at the Malden Nutrition Center. He has a large produce garden.

Mrs. Barbara Bath has returned following a Thanksgiving week with her family at the home of Mark and Margie Watson of Fish Lake Wisconsin.

Lewis and Pat Scott of Risco, spent Thanksgiving week with their family at Marble Hill, Mo.
