I viewed a very interesting program on Dexter's television "Your Hometown" channel 21 last week. It featured three Malden "gals" Jo Robertson, Jackie Santie, and Stephanie Earnhardt. They profiled their "B Dazzled" work in re decorating and refurbishing vintage homes. It was a program of enlightenment and interest.
~~~~~~~~~ The new Prospect Baptist Church of Malden celebrated it's 109th anniversary on Sunday, September 25. Speaker for the service was Kevin Carter, with Jean Rogers and Mary Starnes in the music program. A pot luck dinners was enjoyed in the fellowship hall at noon. The Frog Jump Tennessee Gospel Quartet was featured during the afternoon program. Pastor Paul Starnes serves New Prospect. ~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Krupinski have returned home following a trip to Chicago and Northwestern University. ~~~~~~~~~ The Malden Ministerial Alliance is actively involved in the Mission Blitz this fall. This festival of sharing needs canned goods for the food pantry. ~~~~~~~~~ "Harold and the Boy's" music group of Bernie and Malden guys entertained the folks with lively times at the Malden Nutrition Senior Center last week. ~~~~~~~~~ Ashley McMillian Principal of the Malden High School appeared on television KFVS from Cape Girardeau last week. ~~~~~~~~~ Mr. and Mrs. Arden Tolleson have returned home from a stay in St. Louis. ~~~~~~~~~ An over flow crowd fill the theater of the Malden Bootheel Youth Museum for Ron Paul's live "Birds of Prey" exhibit. Thanks got to Ron for his tremendous presentation. ~~~~~~~~~ Several Malden women attended the Women's Aware Conference held at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff last week. ~~~~~~~~~ Lillian Dock and Londyn Black have returned home from a glorious vacation to San Juan, Puerto Rico, Antigua, Saint Martin, St. Crouix, Saint Lucia, Barbados and the US Virgin Islands. ~~~~~~~~~ Birthday parties were held in the Malden Bootheel Youth Museum for the following celebrants: Matthew and Faith Burton, Haylee Morandi, Payton McNabb, Braden Taylor, Colin Hays, Tyrus Mreeick, Anthony Jaylon Bowden, Jasmine White and Cesar Marques. |
