The youth juniors and seniors of the First Southern Baptist Church of Malden attended the summer camp session held a the Baptist Church Camp in Friendship, Mo., near Kennett during July. Mark Pickard served as the Camp Director and Pastor Aulden LeBlanc served as camp Pastor.

Russell Hays of Piedmont, Mo., participated in the Malden Golf tournament and also visited with area friends. Russell is a former Malden resident.

Larry Wagster of Oxford, Ms., visited with his father J.D. Wagster, and helped celebrate his father's birthday anniversary.

Mrs. Dorothy Maccia of Atchison, Kansas visited in Malden with her daughter Jackie and husband Ray Santie.

The youth of the First Christian Church will present an entire service on Sunday afternoon, July, 31 beginning at 4:00 p.m. They will present the music and the sermon. Following the program, everyone will meet in the fellowship hall for finger foods and fellowship.

Mrs. Misty Chandler of Campbell was a guest at the Malden Nutrition Senior Center on Friday. Misty is the new manager of the Daisy Morris Nutrition Senior Center in Campbell. She replaces retiring Pat Fieser of Campbell.

Angel and Jake Edgar of Edgar Springs, Mo., Shawn and Gary Pyland of Malden and Mrs. Ann Walker of Malden, all attended the Walker family reunion held in Memphis, Tn., the weekend of July 16. Angel and Jake Edgar spent Friday in Malden with relatives. Jake had returned from a tour of duty with his church group in the huge relief effort following the Joplin, Mo., storm. Kudos to Jeff and his group!

Recent birthday parties held at the Bootheel Youth Museum include Tylyne and Khyrie Mathies, Noah Innas, Kaylee Groomer, Mollie and Blaire Lawfield, Joseph Slauceda, Nathaniel Kirkspatrick, Dalton and Eli and Brent Frederick. Parents, grandparents and relatives joined the groups in the museum party room for ice cream, punch and birthday cake.

Kaleb Loughary, son of Phil and Penny Loughary of Malden was named to the Dean's List at Linn Technical School in Linn, Mo.
