A retirement dinner honoring Reverend Don Dell of the Cornerstone Cross Point Baptist Church of Campbell was enjoyed by the congregation in the fellowship hall last Saturday afternoon. Reverend Dell will continue to be active in the ministry.

An Easter egg hunt was held on the grounds of the First Christian Church last Saturday Afternoon. The festivities began with games, luncheon at noon, and the hunt for eggs in the afternoon. Some youth and adults assisted in this festivity.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hayes of Piedmont, Mo. spent last weekend visiting his mother in Clarkton, also relatives and friends in Malden.

The entire Heiser family visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heiser last weekend.

The Daisy Morris Nutrition Center in Campbell sponsored a benefit pancake breakfast last Saturday morning to benefit the Morris Center.

A number of Malden folks attended the Little River Music Festival held in Hornersville last weekend.

A number of qualified Beta Club members at the Malden High School attended the St. Louis Cardinal vs Washington DC National baseball game held at Bush Stadium in St. Louis last Thursday.

The Board of the Malden Historical Museum met at the museum last Wednesday morning. President Randy Moore conducted the session.

The glorious purple Martins have again returned to inhabit Chic's large Gossard Bird House. An interesting study in nature is ongoing.

The Baker-Donelson Law Firm of Nashville, Tenn., has elected Courtney H. Gilmer of Nashville as a new shareholder. She is the daughter of the late Johnny Hunter, and Pat Haskins Hunter of Franklin, Tn. She is a 2002 graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, and chair of the Nashville Bar Association Bankruptcy Court. Mrs. Pat Hunter and family of Franklin visited with their Bostic relatives last week.

Camp work day was held by a member of local workers at the MO-Ark Christian Camp near Naylor last Saturday. This is an annual even done in readiness for the 2011 Summer Camp session.

Mrs. Barbara Haworth Graham visited with her mother Mrs. Gertrude Haworth last week. Barbara and Ray Graham reside in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Patterson of Memphis, Tenn., visited with Malden relatives and friends last Thursday and Friday.

Bill and Brenda Dirks of Des Moines, Iowa have returned home following a trip to Malden where they visited relatives.
